About us

No generation of the covenant exists in its own time. Every generation must live out of the previous and must know its heritage. As the set stones of memorial over the river Jordan were to the children of Israel during Joshua’s time, so are these sermons a memorial for the church today (cf. Josh 4:7). But these sermons are more than a memorial. These sermons are the living word of God to us today which show us the old paths that our fathers have walked.  Old Paths Recordings exists to call attention to the “ancient landmark which thy fathers have set” (Prov. 22:28).

What are the old paths? Those old paths are the truth that God has loved his church with an eternally sovereign love. The old paths teach that grace is always particular, never common. The old paths say that God alone bestows upon his elect the gift of faith. The old paths are the truth that God effectually calls his people out of darkness into light. The old paths are the truth that God’s people are peculiar; that they dwell spiritually alone in the midst of the world.

If you are asking for these old paths, here they are. In the old paths you will be instructed in the way that the patriarchs, prophets, Christ and the apostles marked out. Finally, you will glory in the Reformed truth that God is all, absolutely all and that man is nothing, absolutely nothing.
